Here is a url that most everyone should probably checkout, and run the tests on the pc. This web site is free, so therefore making it even more attractive. At PC PitStop, you can have it scan your pc online for virii, and it will also do several other checks for you.
If you have a rather slow connection (dial-up), it might take a little longer to complete, but well worth the time.
